BOOKSTORE AU (2023)
Romantic and avid reader Himeko is searching for the love of her life, where else better than the bookshop, the perfect setting to bump into a potential love interest. Himeko goes the store throughout the year bumping into men who look straight from a book except they don't act like one?! Only until next spring does Hime find out who liked her the whole time, not from the bookshop but the cafe she equally frequented.
Call of The Void (2025)
A group of three friends finds a mysterious hole in the woods. One of the friends, Cy, becomes convinced the hole must be bottomless, slowly falling into obsession. Curiosity gets the better of Cy, and they return to the hole to find out the truth.Collabortive short film made at SVA. I had the pleasure of being producer and compositing lead for this film.
WAYWARD WOODS (2025)
A lighthearted narrative about a young goth, named Heejin, recounting moving into a new house in the woods and finding out her quirky flamboyant neighbor is a witch.

Sammi Martinez is an alumn of The School of Visual Arts with a BFA in 2d Animation, with a knack for production. Their favorite work is Bookstore Au, an animated short film and love letter to a Japanese rom-com with strong use of limited colors. Sammi loves to use color and eye-catching stylization to enrich stories and build magnificent worlds that draw in and captivate audiences. Sammi can be found in their spare time at local cafes and Japanese bookstores.
